Adapt IT is Empowered

Empowerment is a key focus area for Adapt IT. Since the law is an important part of ensuring that organisations take empowerment  in earnest, the company complies with the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, its amendments including all related legislations, codes, rules and policies. Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption

The Company takes a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which the Company does business and is committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery and corruption. Adapt IT, therefore, follows international best practice and complies with various ABC laws, including South Africa’s Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act (PRECCA), the United Kingdom Bribery Act, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The Company has also developed anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies to support its stance. 

Data Protection

Adapt IT recognises that data protection laws (like the GDPR and POPIA) apply to the various relationships the company has, including the one Adapt IT has with you. The company generally performs the role of a processor (operator) for our customers, who are then the controllers (responsible party). There are also many times when Adapt IT is the responsible party. Adapt IT takes its obligations under data protection laws seriously regardless of the role the company is performing and the relationship the company has with you. Employment and Labour Law

Treating employees fairly and empowering them is more than just a compliance issue for Adapt IT. The company does it because it cares about them. Adapt IT also does it because it understands that its employees are at the heart of why the company continues to perform well and grow. Thus, the company complies with applicable labour laws, including the Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Employment Equity Act and any related legislation, codes, rules or policies.
